Feedback - 11 Dec

Scott,

You have made some very good progress with your work and are slowly making your way through the work. The work on your blog to date will certainly put you in the higher grade boundaries and you just need to make sure that you maintain this through the rest of the work.

You still have quite a few posts missing as we discussed previously, and most of this is the research work completed earlier in the course although I am quite sure that you have completed some of this so it would be a case of getting this uploaded to your blog ASAP so it can be assessed.

The 6 analysis pieces are currently missing, as well as the analysis on the magazine industry.
You should have also completed the main task questionnaire and analysis.
Completing these pieces will complete the research part of the coursework.

With your planning work, the main thing to complete is the 'initial ideas statement' and to do rough drawings/sketches for the three main products.

You should aim to get as much of this done over the Xmas holidays to put yourself in a good position when you come back in the new year.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Carl.

Target audience mood board

For my target audience mood board, I had to find brands, radio stations, make-up, celebrities, fashion, social media etc to get an idea what my magazine should include. These brands are popular to my target audience and should be included in the magazine as it creates the general look of a teen pop magazine, which is what I am going for. I tried to make sure to get as accurate as possible by looking through other teen magazines for ideas and examples as it gives a good indication and idea for what to include in my magazine.

Font mood board

For my font mood board, i included many different variations that i thought would suit the target audience of a teen pop magazine. This included all of the font being from DaFont which is a website which allows you to copy fonts made by other people. These fonts can be easily found through a selection of genres which allowed me to find target audience appropriate fonts. I like the fonts of the ones that have circles on as it looks like show business which will also fit the target audience.

Advertisers mood board

For my advertisers mood board, I had to get thing equivalent to what would interest the genre of teenage pop lovers, which have the main majority of being female. I used the make-up brands as teenage girls tend to get into a stage where they start to use make-up and would like to wear it too. I also used a few clothing brands and shop names, as well as outfits as they start to get interested in fashion too. Other interests to them can include social media, other magazines and accessories.
